Crisis Relief Project
MICS-Crisis Relief Service is a unique pro-Bono service for Indian-Americans offered to individual MI-families dealing with a personal family emergency. Each case will be assigned and managed confidentially by a Case Manager.
Basic definition of “Personal Family Emergency”:
- Unexpected ( not prepared to deal with it)
- Overwhelming (can not be managed emotionally without external support)
- Severe hardship (Requires external resources to manage)
The main objective of the MICS Crisis Team to provide support for the local Indian American Community during personal family emergencies or crises. MICS also supports community wide crises at large like the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March 2020, we began to offer crisis relief services to fellow Indian Americans around us undergoing personal struggles.
