Welcome to the MICS Crisis Support Application ("App"), operated by Michigan Indian-American Community Services (MICS). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

 

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information provided is accurate and truthful.

 

2. Purpose of the App

The MICS Crisis Support Application is designed to:

• Connect individuals who need assistance with community volunteers

• Facilitate communication and coordination for help or services

• Strengthen the Michigan-Indian community through mutual aid

The App is not intended for emergency services. In case of a life-threatening situation, call 911 or your local emergency number.

 

3. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes

• Treat other users with respect and dignity

• Not impersonate any person or entity

• Not post, share, or send offensive, harmful, or misleading content

• Keep your login credentials secure

• Immediately report any misuse or suspicious activity

Volunteers are expected to uphold the values of compassion, privacy, and integrity when assisting others.

 

4. Code of Conduct

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be:

• Abusing the platform

• Harassing or threatening other users

• Violating local, state, or federal laws

• Misrepresenting services or identity

We may report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.

 

5. Limitation of Liability

MICS and its affiliates are not liable for:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user-generated content

• The outcome of any volunteer service or user interaction

• Any harm, injury, or damage arising from use of the App

• Third-party actions or external service providers

Users engage with each other at their own discretion and responsibility.

 

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time, without notice, for behavior that violates these Terms or compromises the safety of the community.

 

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App—including logos, designs, and software—is the property of Michigan-Indian Community Services or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or use any part of the App without prior written permission.

 

8. Modifications to the App and Terms

We may update or modify the App and these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes implies acceptance. It is your responsibility to review the Terms regularly.

 

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
